| I FOUND THE NOISE! It was the heat sheild just in front of the diff, just barely touching the driveshaft. I bent it out of the way and the noise is gone! |

| I installed the trans on the engine and dropped them in throught the top. There's a TON of room to do it this way on a Z3. The thing that confuses me is there's no noise when the car is off the ground ... |
