| I have used graphite lube ( such as lock-eze) on plugs since my first 1600 in 1981. Threads are clean upon removal. Never a problem. |

| It seems to me that the flow is regulated by the speed of the pump impeller. I would worry that the engine would not heat up quickly enough with an open thermostat. |
