i am working on this swap (very very slowly) ...the big issues so far are the steering box and exhaust manifold...
re comparisons to M10, M20, S14 engines, it's kind of an acquired taste...

I highly recommend the 1991 E30 318is
...sporty character, you can steer with the throttle, modern features (but still OBD I), lots of room in the engine bay to do your own maintenance, self adjus ... |
