I took my car up to Terry Sather Automotive in Austin. They told me my valves were mal adjusted. Some were too tight, some too loose. I had the wrong spark plugs in and my carb needed to be tuned. The ...

I am told by most people that to time a carb you dont need a timing light...just a good sense of what shaking is bad and how well you can hear

The cam timing cant be off because I made the motor TDC and cranked it a few times to make sure the tick marks lined up properly each time.

Now the firing order. I goes 1-3-4-2 correct?

Never touched my fuel filter. I believe it would be 8 years old or so, but the car ran just fine with this filter a month ago before I did a rebuild
