That's hot, mine reads 165-180 at the top of the water inlet from the upper rad hose when its warmed up good (full temp).

Order the "starter kit" from POR15's website, its only $20 and the little can they give you covers a lot of metal. I barely made a dent in it with a 2'x2' area I coated twice.

You can still get it new from BMW dealers, but its not cheap :) They have both part numbers, tinted and clear.
