| There is a ball but it is actually inside the piston. Piston is put together from 3 pieces plus the ball which acts as a valve. |

I have the same wheels but with ET22. The center caps are custom made but I have the originals too.

Oh really! I didn't know that old ones didn't have that plate.

As I recall the tie rods have enough length.
I did extend the stoppers at some point. I don't remember the exact reason. It was easy to extend at the subframe where it stops originally.

Correct torque for the M6 bolts is 6,5-8 lb-ft as seen at FAQ

Have you tried without alternator - just bolt and the mount?
Does the bolt go through your new bushings?
If both are yes - then it's just about aligning them. |

| Discs are wear items anyway so I suggest you getting new ones. Just make sure they are vented if you are going for vented upgrade. It don't matter what year E21 they are and models hard to specify as ... |

There is steel inserts too. I think 6mm is maximum with cheap tools. I would try that. Maybe even aluminum ones would work with proper torque and locktite.

| Yea, something like Pedro above suggests or adjust motor/tranny mounts. Raising the rear tranny mount a bit should help. It's not possible to adjust idler arm in any way that would help. |

Me too :-( I believe all 3 BMW's will be repaired but Opel is probably dead. The guy had one race behind with the Kadett, and he had been building it for years.
