I think the Japan Turbo's flares were blended in. As Les said, most Japan Turbos look like that. Maybe a DOT type rule they had back then?

A 185/60 is bigger than a 175/60.
Because the '60' is a % of the width. i.e. 60% of 185mm = 111mm (4.37") that is how high the sidewall is. The 175 is 105mm.

I'm not sure but I think you just use the swing arms as I think the mounting of the subframe is different.

I would just stick to e-21 stuff. You'd have to re-shim the control pressure to get the mix right and then you might run out of fuel with the VW stuff. Maybe not with the 1.8 GTI stuff. I'd stay away ...

Well, I got most of it right. Now I have to take it all apart and put #7 BEHIND the gear..... It was behind the nut on m y old motor and worked fine.....

when i was into classic minis there was a box like this for them . stright cut cr gears from 1 to4 then a normal 5 tall gear . the price ? hope your siting down for this one . 6k

Why not just run the CIS from the 320i? Same system. Also it's not quite mechanical. I mean, compared to EFi it is but nothing like the Kooglefisher (sp?) on the tii or Spica on an Alfa.
