| If that is a Clardy, it must be an extremely early model. Clardy used a swashplate compressor, also known as a rotary, and the interior panels look nothing like those. I have some pics at the house ... |

A word of caution...do not remove the drain plug until after you have made sure you can remove the fill plug.

Sounds like carb icing. Temp and humidity have to be within certain limits. When the engine comes up to temp there is enough heat to keep the ice from forming in the carb venturi.
