Unless you know that the waterpump bolts were last put in anti-seize compound, the first thing you should do is spray all the bolts with a good penetrating oil, like PB Blaster or Kroil so it can soak ...

Rear upper spring mounts are rubber, and come in three thicknesses, denoted by dots drilled into the rubber: one dot is the thinnest, three dots the thickest. mike

the M3/S14 oil filter head is the way to go.
it includes a thermotat and temp (?) and pressure senders.
