I agree, EGR, I call mine a thermal reactor, it preceeds the catalytic convereter.

That's one of the problems with getting smogged, my ac compressor is on the car but no belt, I had the hardest time convincing the smog guy that it was not the smog pump.

Yep, it's been awhile, but that was very simple, even for me.

Ireland, I think mine was a for a 318i, works well, with no mods, ie;drilling, etc....

I lost my trunk key and just thought of trying the igniton key, and it worked!
