Center Console re-imagined

I thought stealing car stereos was a 90's thing, but there have been a couple of car break-ins in my neighborhood.

I decided to make a fake face plate to conceal my stereo.

Made a rough surround

Then found an older radio/casette player from a Volvo and cut the face off of it

Got some cheap vinyl at a local fabric store

Behind this panel will be the new stereo and new Innovate dual gauges (Boost/AFR, Oil pressure/Temp, Water temp/Voltage)

The fake panel will be attached with speaker grill fasteners

I just hope the neighborhood thieves don't see this post.

Stay tuned for more......

Looks too nice...lol...should have went for an uglier older looking stereo...I used to have one that fit over the face of the entire radio and looked like an old AM radio...

Where I grew up people would have broken in for the Volvo stereo.

Nice idea and execution
